Utah Valley Kennel Club Fun Match

Posted by on September 9, 2013

On Saturday we took Axel, Cedar, Boss & Wally to the Utah Valley Kennel Club Fun Match.  It was Boss and Wally’s very first fun match.  Boss did awesome for his first time.  Wally was a little too excited about being there, and was very wiggly and distracted.  He is over a month younger than Boss, though (only just barely 4 months old), so I didn’t expect him to be perfect at all!  It was good practice for both of them!  There was one other puppy in the 3-6 month class with Boss and Wally.  His name is Grimm, his owner is a good friend of ours.  She got him from Canada, he is a nice boy!  Grimm won best puppy, Boss got 2nd and Wally got 3rd.  Pretty great for their first fun match!

Cedar was the only female there, so naturally she won best female.  I think she did awesome.  She is always a little bouncy and wiggly while she moves, we are working on it, but she did really great standing for the judge and showing her stuff.  Axel was also the only male in the 9-12 month class and he did decently well.  Overall I am pleased with the whole match.  This week will be Cedar, and possibly Axel’s, first AKC point show.  Keep your fingers crossed for them that they do well!  Below are some pictures from the match.
